How PIP Works — and What You Could Get

PIP has two parts — one for help with daily living and one for getting around. You may qualify for one or both, depending on how your condition affects your day-to-day life.

Daily Living Component

Worth up to £441.60 every four weeks
You may qualify if you need help with everyday activities like preparing food, washing, dressing, managing medication, or making decisions. It’s designed to support you with the extra challenges of daily life.

Mobility Component

Worth up to £308.20 every four weeks
You may qualify if you find it difficult to move around, leave home, or travel safely — whether because of physical difficulties, pain, or mental health conditions like anxiety. You don’t need a physical disability to qualify.

Together, these payments can be worth up to £749 every month — extra support you can use however you need, for what matters most to you.

“I was completely overwhelmed trying to fill out the PIP form on my own. The team were patient, understanding, and explained everything clearly. They helped me express how my condition really affects my daily life something I struggled to do before. My claim was approved first time, and I honestly couldn’t have done it without them.”
